Present day mobile phones are packed with incredible collection of gadgetry features like high quality camera, music players, voice recorders, internet options and so on. These are all good I there own places; but what about the needs of people with impaired vision, hearing and such other disabilities?
Thankfully, we do have some cellular phone producers who manufacture phones catering to the need of such people. Especially for people who are visually challenged, there are certain phones which they can use without much difficulty.
There are specific handsets that are equipped with a very special feature called screen reader. This software eliminates the problem of reading text and navigating the phone. Therefore, with such software using a sleek new age phone isn’t a problem at all.
Most phones today have numbers embossed on the keys. This helps a visually impaired person make out the numbers on the keypad only by touching the buttons.
There are phones with voice control as well. Such handsets can be operated with voice commands and least key-presses. Also, programming the commands isn’t that difficult either.
People with partial vision can go for phones that are equipped with screen magnifiers. Such software helps magnifying letters and images which are otherwise not very visible to them. These magnifiers offer magnifications of about 2x or more.
There are some phones with few buttons and no screen, for people who have severely impaired eyesight. This is to make these devices easily usable for their target consumers.
So to conclude, you may not find all these features in one handset. In case you don’t, then make sure you figure out what functions would you need the most and pick a handset with the right combination of features. Doing so will only make, the user’s phone experience a present one.

Once upon a time ownership of a mobile phone came with a certain amount of prestige. A cell phone owner would be viewed as someone very wealthy, or perhaps as a highly successful businessman of great importance.
These days – along with of brick size cellular phones, roaming charges, and constantly dropped calls – are thankfully long gone. With the removal of mere possession of a mobile phone as a status symbol, the market has evolved. These days to make a statement with your cell phone, you need to look at its appearance.
Without a doubt, one of the most important factors that determine the overall appearance of a phone is its’ color. Of all the colors available, pink is the boldest and wildest choice. This has made it one of the most popular non-standard (i.e. not black or silver) color choices for phones today.

Nokia E72 might be better than a BlackBerry

BlackBerry phones are everywhere these days – they are ruling the smartphone market for sure. Very few phones equal the popularity of the BlackBerry phones – not even the iPhone. Sure, everyone and their cat these days has an iPhone, or wants one, but the iPhone really isn’t that good as a PDA. For one, it lacks a proper keyboard, and everything on it is proprietary – you can’t really customize it that much. But here’s a phone that could totally be a BlackBerry killer!
Enter the Nokia E72. Here’s a quick look at the reasons why the E72 could possibly outdo the BlackBerry.
Email features: This is one of the BlackBerry’s strong points and a large part of the reason why they sell so wqell. The Nokia E72 has very good Email capabilities as well, it may very well equal or maybe even surpass the BlackBerry’s Email features.
Battery Life: The E72 has very long battery life, even after a lot of use you only need to charge it once or twice a week. This is definitely an important aspect.
Good QWERTY Keyboard: The keypad of the Nokia is easier to use than the BlackBerry’s keyboards. The menu’s scrolling works better and is easier to use as well – these are two things BlackBerry phones fall short on.
Camera and sound: The Nokia E72 has a 5 megapixel camera, which is pretty impressive for a phone. The sound quality on the BlackBerry is still better though, but when’s the last time you bought a phone for the sake of sound quality?
Ironic, though, that very few people use phones for the purpose of calling people anymore… all the other features have taken over as the most important thing. They have become little miniature computers that must go with their owners everywhere they go. In that respect, both the BlackBerry and the Nokia E72 are very good phones.
LG Remarq Review

The LG Remarq, one of the latest LG mobile phones, is one phone that is designed for the environmentally conscious consumer. In today’s day and age, it is hard to be green when so many people we know and love use devices like cell phones. The Remarq is a step in the right direction, as the outer packaging is created from 87% recycled cardboard, and the actual phone itself is manufactured from 19% reclaimed plastics.
In addition to this, LG has included a small app that functions as a pedometer game, rewarding you with trees and shrubs for every step you take instead of driving. This can be a great way to remind yourself to do your part and keep track of ways to reduce your carbon footprint.
Aside from these environmentally conscious features, Remarq is a clamshell style phone that slides up, revealing a full QWERTY keyboard for easy text messaging on the go. The Remarq has been designed as an entry level cell phone for those looking for something more than your standard phone. It features a 1.3 mega-pixel camera which has become the industry standard for these entry level phones.
The LG Remarq also features a microSD slot for expandable storage space, and the full QWERTY keyboard phone is much larger than typical phones in its class, making it a much easier and simpler phone to use for texting. The aesthetics of the phone are rather interesting, as it comes in a black and turquoise shell with peach backlighting.
Comparable to the Samsung Reclaim in that they both feature 3G access as well as Bluetooth support, the LG Remarq will be replacing the LG Rumor 2 in Sprint’s line up this spring. If you are looking to upgrade to a capable messaging phone with a small footprint both in size and environmentally, then you really cannot go wrong with all of the features the Remarq has to offer.

Bluetooth technology is becoming the industry standard for wireless communication, so it is little wonder that the iPad supports it. While the iPad is a fairly new device, it is still one locked down by Apple and their development platform, so developing iPad Bluetooth accessories for the device has been a slow but steady process. One example of such technology coming into use for the iPad is the Apple Bluetooth keyboard, which is a great option for anyone who wants to use their iPad in order to type blog posts, write reviews, or type out emails to friends and colleagues with a real keyboard instead of the included digital one. SIM free mobile phones are the future

In our Information Age mobile phones have grown into a multi-billion dollar a year industry. These devices are everywhere and have become an integral part of people’s social and business lives redefining a generation. It is not surprising then that many of us become emotionally attached to our particular phone.
Unfortunately most commercially available phones are SIM (Subscriber Identification Module) locked. In other words once you buy a phone from one carrier you can’t use it on a competing network. You are not alone if you think this is unfair. Enter the future: SIM free mobile phones.
Recognizing the vast money making opportunity third party vendors now sell SIM free mobile phones unlocked. Now anyone can use the make and model phone of their choice on any network. Manufacturers are doing whatever it takes to stay ahead of the curve by constantly releasing newer faster and more functional devices so consumers are glad to know that they are no longer limited to one particular carrier. Of course this freedom does have a cost.
At present you cannot walk into a store and find cheap SIM free mobile phones. You will have to do your homework to find them and will have to pay full retail price. As opposed to the low cost or even free phone deals offered by carriers. Fortunately because many people can’t afford to buy a SIM free mobile phone there are always ways to game the system.
You could hire someone to reprogram your device into a SIM free mobile phone and the service would cost less than a new phone but make sure you use someone reputable. Or cheaper yet you could search online for ways to hack your phone but just be careful, failure to reprogram the phone correctly could make it permanently unusable.
