Yeah I debated so mainy times about paying the stupid cancellation fee and switching to AT&T. I decided to stick it out until my contract expired. At that point their customer service had started to improve so i decided to give them a second chance because i loved there actual phone service. It worked everywhere i went. You should definately keep them as an option if you ever think about swithing. I am not certain what Verizon used to be I will have to check that out. Thanks for stopping by.

I'm glad to hear that Verizon is getting their act together. I was a customer of theirs years ago (didn't they used to be Bell Atlantic Mobile?) and left because of bad experiences dealing with them. Now, I'm with Nextel/Sprint and am happy with the company, but the service gets spotty in some out of the way places where Verizon has a strong presence. The fact that they're turning around is good if I decide to switch.

Yeah I agree with you. I thought many times about paying the stupid cancellation fee and going elsewhere. I stuck it out though. Thanks for the comment.

Gday Mate, glad you have a happy ending with this, sticking with them thru the sub-par service phase was more than they could have expected from me!
Cheers, and thanks for stopping by!

The Old Vic,

Yeah good point. I think companies always want to keep people on their toes especially when it comes to buyouts. There must be some truth to it or we wouldn't even being having this conversation. It will be interesting to see what comes of it. Who knows we could find out tomorrow Verizon is no longer. Thanks for the comments.

Hi,
Thnks for the article - from which I note the following two statements

"a report on a Financial Times Website that global mobile giant Vodafone Group plc has been considering a takeover bid worth $160 billion, approximately $55 per share. "

"Vodafone issued a statement saying it "wishes to make it clear that it has no plans to make such an offer,"

Not make "such an offer" but they don't say they won't make a different offer.

I guess it's in their interest to try and not give away too much information, but that doesn't sound like a denial to me.

As for Verizon operating as Verizon I'm afraid your guess is as good as mine on that one.

The Old Vic,

There is an article from this morning saying that Vodafone issued a statement today saying that are not interested in taking over Verizon. Companies always play this down though before things actually happen.

No I have not heard that. Would Verizon still operate under Verizon or would they switch over to Vodafone? I will have to look into this. Thanks for the comment.

Hi,
Have you heard there are rumours here in the UK that Verizon might be taken over by Vodafone (might be worth buying a few shares in Verizon?).
