Verizon VZ Navigator provides a new and interesting way of getting mobile directions while driving.  Verizon Wireless has come out with a new service called VZ Navigator.  It works much the same as normal GPS system that you can buy for your car. This service however works directly from your mobile phone and does not require the purchase of any additional equipment.  The bad part about this service is that it is not free of charge, you will have to pay a monthly subscription fee to use it.  It will also use up your minutes when it is in use, so you might not want to use it constantly or you might go well over your monthly allotted minutes.

Verizon VZ Navigator has a ton of really cool features such as storing places that you go often or looking up where you are going on a map.  It is a fairly easy service to use once you have done it a few times but it might be a little tricky to figure out if you are not familiar with it.  The service will provide you with voice direction so it will say where you need to turn and what direction to travel.  If you take a wrong path it will figure out a new route for you and keep you going on your way, so don’t worry if you get lost the first few times using it.

You can find a really cool demo that walks you through how to use Verizon VZ Navigator for your mobile directions.  I will also be providing a walkthrough in the near future with how to use the service.
